Forgot to ask.

We initially ingested this footage using ProRez (regular) and it was logged (with markers and in/out points). Since we’ll essentially be creating a duplicate project (this time using footage at ProRez Proxy, would it be best just to make all of the clips offline, then re-import using log and transfer (and the ProRez Proxy setting).

I feel I may be missing a step but does media manager allow you to re-import using log and transfer?

Quick followup – Have you ever tried making multiclips using MXF4mac ingested footage? Looks like we’ll be shooting more in AVC I and I’d like to see if we can streamline our workflow. Thinking of getting MXF4mac.

Makes sense. I’d like to use ProRez rather than HQ purely for bandwidth issues. Have had problems in the past with clients accepting the time frame of off-line / on-line workflows, so the closer I can get to a workable resolution the better.

When you work in lower resolutions, what format do you use to ingest the footage?
