  • Great than it works. Does the panasonic professional plasma serie have better picture and better calibration settings?

  • Walter you have a Panasonic 50″ Professional HDTV Plasma Display. Does that have progressiv component? since its professional serie I could always get another input on the tv. Is it more accurate color on the professional serie than consumer? Better calibration options?

“With the regular version of the 6.0.2 driver, some users may experience issues with Quartz Extreme, the behavior of their computer displays, and in some cases, boot up issues may occur with certain graphics cards installed. If any of the issues mentioned occur, the driver version 6.0.2 NDD should be used instead of version 6.0.2 ”

So this mean the problem isnt fixed still? Should i wait for 8.5 before its fixed? By that time i guess i got another graphic card!
I have both the issue Quartz Extreme since leopard and the 6.1 drivers gave me a boot up problem. My NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT worked well with aja before leopard. I dont like to complain but I was not fun to reinstall everything last time i installed the 6.1 drivers (cause it would not boot).
Im little scared of installing the 6.2. The ndd versions sucks cause it dont solve my problem, im makes it possible to change betwen the display feature on/off. Atleast i dont have to reinstall the drivers everytime i need the desktop display feature. Just reboot…Its very wonky workflow…

Please tell me if you try them. We had the same problem with boot up with 6.1. Also i hope everything goes back to normal so the “desktop” function works properly now.

Aja told me today:The only workaround is to use one Cinema display – connect it to the primary
DVI output of the graphics card.We are working with Apple on trying to get this resolved.

So I guess I/we have to wait.

Ok, I find more with the same problem or atleast fcp prompting “Quartz Extreme not supported” but no answers still=(

    A little update
The Aja 5.1 NDD drivers works fine for me with fcp but it kills the desktop display wich shake is using for its output.
And if I have drivers with “Desktop display” on, fcp will be prompting “Quartz Extreme not supported” and does not start up.
If I install aja driver 6 and disable “desktop display” it fcp works until i reboot. This is very enoying. I mailed aja and they said:
“just disable the desktop display and it work” even thoe i said to them that I need that feature!!
I have not gotten any answer after that. Before leopard it worked so goood!!
