Is there a way to change this expression to apply a different sequential color (say, from a set of 5) to each letter, in order – so the code doesn’t have to reference every character?

I realise the result won’t be obviously random, for large amounts of text – but great for short titles where each letter can be colorized specifically, using code.

Does anyone know if changing a word color is possible within the text source itself (and without the need for an additional control layer).

So, by entering something like “change the *text color* using double asterisks” the user can highlight the word to recolor by simply enclosing it within two asterisks?

This is all very relevant and useful in 2020 BTW!

Ok, I’ve been through the hoops and can’t find the correct math for this so I’ve animated the layer’s scale manually over 360 frames and am attempting to TimeRemap the frames to a parent comp.

I do have a new expression request though – which should be an easy one, I hope!

In my parent comp I have 2 layers. Layer 1 is a pre-composed (child comp) animation of 360 frames which has been time-remapped, and is basically ‘frozen’ at an arbitary value (let’s use frame 60).

Layer 2 wants to use a scale value from the child comp. That is, I need to retrieve the scale value from a layer that resides within Layer 1, at the time-remapped value of frame 60 (hope I’m making sense!).

Currently it just retrieves the value at the current frame of the parent/child comp and is ignoring the time-remapping.

Any help greatly appreciated.

This whole ordeal pains me physically, especially since I had my sights set on PI for 5+ years but was never able to obtain it. I feel like I missed the boat
Still, holding on to a wing and a prayer that an open source version will be available in the future, and I hope it’ll be sooner rather than later. I’ve seen other people talk about RigzSoft as an alternative, but I’m not sure if it can replace it entirely

STEP 1: Navigate to your home folder -> User Library

STEP 2: From there navigate to Preferences folder.

STEP 3: Search for Adobe Photoshop settings folder -> Delete the folder completely.

STEP 4: Restart your Mac once and then start the photoshop application again which should work now without any errors or problem.
