To be honest, Brian, I haven’t used PrPro CS5 in some time and I can’t remember if I ever got this sorted out. As a workaround I worked with all of my video and did all of my previews at 1/4 res. That seemed to really help playback even on un-rendered sequences. I only would render when exporting.

Alternatively, you could try re-installing PrPro, or creating a new user and trying under that user (I had an issue with Photoshop that I could work around that way).

Right, but they should only need to be rendered once. What I’m saying is that I will render out the sequence, save the project, close out of PrP and when I re-open the saved project, those files will be unrendered in the timeline.

Also, sometimes when opening a saved project, the AE animations do come back rendered, but other effects (color correction, transitions, etc.) will not come back rendered.

I can close out and re-open the project again without touching or saving it and the timeline may appear with different portions of the sequence that are unrendered (though they were previously rendered and saved).

I’m having the same issue. I’m running Premiere Pro CS5 for mac and it seems at random that rendered files will not appear rendered in the timeline after saving, closing, and re-opening. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. Sometimes clips that have simple color correction effects show up rendered fine, but AE files brought in through Dynamic Link are unrendered…then again, sometimes it’s the opposite.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
