Premiere not saving rendered timelines
Posted by Matt Korshis on November 10, 2011 at 12:07 amFor some reason premiere will not save my rendered timeline. I render the timeline so I can preview the film properly then if I close the project and re-open the timeline is back to being un-rendered(red).
I have checked that the preview files are being created. It just seems premiere is not reading them when I open the project.

November 10, 2011 at 6:27 amThis is a ‘duh’ question but are you saving your project after you render the timeline? This locks in the connection.

November 15, 2011 at 12:59 pmI’m having the same issue. I’m running Premiere Pro CS5 for mac and it seems at random that rendered files will not appear rendered in the timeline after saving, closing, and re-opening. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. Sometimes clips that have simple color correction effects show up rendered fine, but AE files brought in through Dynamic Link are unrendered…then again, sometimes it’s the opposite.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

November 15, 2011 at 3:10 pmAE clips brought into PrP 5.5 need rendering within PrP. Unless you export them from AE as a movie file then import them into PrP.

November 15, 2011 at 6:03 pmRight, but they should only need to be rendered once. What I’m saying is that I will render out the sequence, save the project, close out of PrP and when I re-open the saved project, those files will be unrendered in the timeline.
Also, sometimes when opening a saved project, the AE animations do come back rendered, but other effects (color correction, transitions, etc.) will not come back rendered.
I can close out and re-open the project again without touching or saving it and the timeline may appear with different portions of the sequence that are unrendered (though they were previously rendered and saved).

January 10, 2013 at 1:20 pmJust wondering if you ever found a solution for this. I have tried pulling the sequence into a new project, Creating a new sequence, etc and no luck. Still does not remember rendered sections of the timeline. Very frustrating.

January 10, 2013 at 4:50 pmNope. Please add you bug report to the Adobe database so maybe they can eventually fix it.
