March 27, 2015 at 9:56 amHello Joe,
I am having the same problem as you re files that have been rendered need to be rendered again after quitting and restarting premiere cs5. Did you find a solution? Please let me know if you had any luck with this problem.

March 27, 2015 at 6:48 pmTo be honest, Brian, I haven’t used PrPro CS5 in some time and I can’t remember if I ever got this sorted out. As a workaround I worked with all of my video and did all of my previews at 1/4 res. That seemed to really help playback even on un-rendered sequences. I only would render when exporting.
Alternatively, you could try re-installing PrPro, or creating a new user and trying under that user (I had an issue with Photoshop that I could work around that way).

Thanks for your reply. I will try your tip of using 1/4 size resolution.

November 19, 2019 at 5:26 pmJoe – Did you ever find a solution to the issue of Premiere Pro “unrendering” rendered timelines after you rendered, saved, closed, then reopened them? Here is it several years later and I’m having the same problem with PrP v13.1.5 –
Thanks!
