Old thread…but here’s a new thing to check if you experience this bump in Premiere Pro CC 2019. Probably a pretty basic fix for most pros, but it took this novice a little while to figure out. ????
Take a look at how your keyframing is set up within the timeline. To do this, make sure your tracks are tall enough to see the “Show Keyframes” drop-down menu (outlined in image). Make sure it’s set to “Clip Keyframes” and not either track keyframe option.
Ran into this problem myself and noticed I still had my tracks set to “Track Keyframes > Volume” as I had been working with audio mixing in a previous session, forgetting to reactivate Clip Keyframes. Switched this back over and voila.
