    Thanks for the reply.

I do a lot of editing in the timeline. I’ve always found it easier to move things around and play with things.

For this project it seems like the source box is making things easier. I have some two hour interviews and dragging those into the timeline to extract a few seconds is cumbersome.

Ha! I’ve discovered that I can just drag the trimmed sequence from the timeline back up into the source monitor and voila! There are my in and out points.

I would still love to hear any suggestion for this type of editing though!

    Thanks!

I took me a little while to figure it out, but man I am glad it works!

For some reason the forward slashes are not turning up on the post.

Anyway there are some missing forward slashes.

No go. I did just succeed with a command prompt though!

I think it worked! It’s late and I am tired, but I copied the files and produced a big one and they contain the missing audio and video! Here is the text of my command prompt I found it on some other website after hours of scrolling webpages. It took me a while to figure it out.

The copied files bear the same name as the first file copied. I think I might make a video to show people how to do this. I ran into the same problem a few months ago after filming a play. I also read about the command prompt solution but I was intimidated. Finally I got too fed up to care and with a little help from some friends I figured it out.

Can you tell me what 32 bit floating is. I am not having any issues right now I am just curious.

    Thanks

  • This was surely fancy cropping 1:48 and 2:15 were just split seconds that had to be key framed. The reason they were just split seconds is because key framing is so tedious. They probably key framed 30 to 50 frames.

I could be wrong. It is a neat project though. Maybe I will do one and post, but I won’t be doing all that key framing.

You could do this a variety of ways, green screen included. I think the simplest way is best.

Awesome. Thank you so much for the post! I’ve been reading the site info and stuff but it is really nice to hear from someone in person!

I personally can’t wait for the follow focus!

    Awesome Awesome Awesome!!!!

  • I am just an amateur though.

  • To me it looks like some fancy cropping
