Do it all in Premiere.
And it’s the video you want to loop, not the audio- make them the same length in Premiere and export an AVI.

That’s the only way- video and audio cannot loop independently in a motion menu in DVD-Video, unless you employ the trick that Neil outliines.

You can’t fade anything in Encore- you’d have to do that in After Effects or Premiere, and make the video clip your menu background.
Once you bring this into Encore and make it your menu video background, use the Loop Point parameter to indicate what timecode to turn the button highlighting on.

Have you set any overrides anywhere in your project? And which version of Encore, please?

Not my problem, I’m just trying to help the original poster (a4poster) who was asking how to make an interactive quiz in Encore.

Frippy, I’ve made several projects in Encore with hundreds of menus. There is no 99 menus limitation in Encore.

No chapters on menus (this is just not possible in DVD-Video), and no buttons over timelines (Encore limitation).
Not sure what Frippy is talking about as Encore can work with hundreds of menus. Maybe Frippy is thinking of the 99 timelines limit, or 99 chapters per timeline? And those are DVD-Video limitations, not Encore limitations.

Self-contained is a QuickTime movie that does not reference other QT movies- it’s a rendered movie file. You should have the option to export as self-contained movie from Avid.
I’m not familiar with their interface, so you’ll have to ask on an Avid forum (there’s got to be some here on Creative Cow).

It should accept them. Have you tried self-contained movies?

Encore doesn’t offer a random function, so doing this would be difficult.
You could set up mulitple menus with short duration (say 1 sec) that are linked to each other, but this isn’t truly random, but may give the appearance of randomness.
