The VOBs and VTSs are written to the disc. If you want to save them for any reason, create a DVD folder on your hard drive.

Encore slideshows take only image files and audio files.
However, you could do this with slideshows and timelines, linking end actions together or putting them in a playlist.
You can also do this in a timeline, which can accept multiple image files as well as video and audio clips.

Display image? Sorry, I don’t understand…Are you referring to video thumbnails for buttons? If so, do the buttons have a video thumbnail layer with the appropriate prefix in the layer name?

Selectors are button highlights in Encore, and are indicated with subpicture layers. Check Encore Help for how to create these layers in Photoshop. Buttons are also created in Photoshop (subpicture layers are within them)…again, check the Help.
Then you alt-drag your video clip onto the menu in the Menu editor in Photoshop, and set the Loop Point in the Menu properties.

The paradigm is different.
Encore menus are PSD files. To make it a motion menu, alt-drag a video file into the menu. Loop Point timecode can be set in Menu properties.

Yes, I should have mentioned that. PAR for PAL is 1.067.

You’re thinking about it the wrong way. Whether you are in NTSC or PAL mode, you can import a PSD of any dimensions as a menu. Only on export to DVD will Encore scale the menu the standard NTSC/PAL size (on the DVD itself)
Obviously, your source menu is 720×480. I would propose that you Edit in Photoshop, resize it to 720×576, and then save it. From then on, this menu will be 720×576, avoiding the problem you see when you create a comp from the menu in AE.

Can’t be done in Encore. Instead, create two menus: one containing the entire animation, and the other containing the content beginning at the loop point, and then link to them separately.

In relation of going from a Photoshop layer to a subpicture layer, this is true.
That is the situation I was trying to explain to the OP.
