If the version of Toast you have accepts Blu-ray ISO images and can burn to Blu-ray, then yes, you will be able to do this with an Encore CS3-created BD image.

For further information about Toast, you should ask at a forum dedicated to it.

You want the drop shadow to be covered with a subpicture? That’s not going to look very good considering how DVD subpictures have very limited opacity compared to what goes into a drop shadow…it’ll look like a blob.

Can you post a screenshot of the problem somewhere?

There is a simple workaround for this: uncheck ‘Create Subpicture from Text’ in the Button properties, then select button and create a subpicture from the Object menu.

    Congratulations!

Perhaps you could post the details of the fix here?

  • If you have two audio tracks and Dolby Digital encoding in Encore, you should be able to manage 7 Mbps for video without getting any errors.

720×480 menus and video have non-square pixels.

Encore’s not changing the dimensions (or pixel aspect ratio) of anything – it’s doing pixel aspect ratio correction in Encore so that it looks in Encore as it will look when you view the DVD on a television. If Encore didn’t do this correction, everything would look distorted.

If you want to see the menu without pixel aspect ratio correction (for whatever reasons you might have), you can do that with the PAR button on the bottom of the menu editor, which switches between corrected and not corrected.

  • Sorry, I meant the audio settings in Encore, available from the Advanced tab in the Project Settings dialog.

Is your Most Recently Used files list turned off in Windows? If so, re-enable it.

What exactly is the problem? Is it that menus are displayed with square pixels in Encore?

  • Please provide details on the audio clips in each audio track (encoding, bit rate, etc.), and also on your project audio settings (you can find this in preferences).
