That’s not quite what happens. It imports the default menu from the Library.
There is one default menu, and one default button in the Library. If you choose New Menu, you will get the default menu. You can change the default menu by choosing another menu in the Library, right-clicking on it and setting it to default.
So the problem was your default menu was standard definition-sized.

You could try this in Flash. But if you have Flash, you could export an AVI or MOV that Encore would probably prefer.

This is the third time I have asked: what are the dimensions of the menu? Not the movie – the menu.
In Encore, menus are PSD files.

Encore CS4 will import FLV & F4V files, but no version of Encore to date supports multi-angle video.

Where does it get scaled down? In the menu? What’s the size of your menu?

Yes, just to be clear I was referring to layered menus (menus that do not use the subpicture layer to show button status), and not layered PSD files imported as menus. I don’t believe any DVD authoring tool beats Encore when it comes to supporting Photoshop files as menus.
But I am not a fan of layered menus at all.

The DVD-Video spec only supports subpicture overlay for button highlights.
Layered menus are a workaround for this limitation, and they suck regardless of authoring tool. 🙂

Yup, that is correct…sorry about the misunderstanding, I thought you were referring to the disc in your last post.
