Sometimes the ND Filter wheel will get bumped and be turned just slightly creating the same effect. I’ve had it happen a couple of times when changing lenses on the AF100.

I use ISO 400 when I’m doing interviews and have my own lighting. You could use ISO200, but with 400 you have to close down a couple of stops on the iris and that will give a little bit deeper depth of field. A 6″ DOF looks pretty for products and flowers, but is not very practical for an interview.

When you are outside use ISO200 and dial in the Neutral Density filters (2,3,4) as needed.

It’s a great camera, have fun!

I use ShotPut Pro to verify that every bit was transferred correctly.

Thanks, I didn’t know you could Batch Export Subclips. I guess I should have tried to see what would happen. But that little tip just made my next year so much easier. Thanks again!

Drop the clip into a Sequence, highlight the audio clips, under the Modify drop-down menu uncheck the Stereo Pair. Then drag each individual audio clip into the Browser and rename.

See if SnapZ Pro meets your needs. It’s been a very solid program every time I’ve needed it.

We’ve only had some issues with “lost clips at random” when we started using Final Cut Server. It turns out it’s not FCP that looses the clips, it is usually some other software (server or auto-backup) that is altering the file name, especially the render files. Even if something just checks your file then assigns it a new “Last Opened Date” it is enough of an alteration to make the clip or render file no longer associated with the FCP project when you open it up again. It was very frustrating for a week until we figured out what was going on, since then we’ve had very few lost clip incidences.

Nice! Cool locations. I like this shot/location the best. Lots of good tones and lines to work with.
    Keep shooting!

I’ve only had this happen to one clip, not an entire project. Try forcing it to RECONNECT MEDIA and use LOCATE to point it right to the clip you want.

    Good luck mate.

I’m afraid Jeremy is right, you’ve lost the Red channel from your camera. Time to repair or shop.
