    I think I may have just found a solution based on another of your posts.

    In a thread I saw that you had written:
    “If you are using the 64-bit version of Vegas Pro then that’s your problem. You will need to use a 64-bit codec which doesn’t exist for Xvid. You must use the 32-bit version of Vegas Pro instead if you want to work with Xvid footage.”

    I believe that this is my problem as I know I am using the 64 bit version of Vegas Pro. I will test using vegas 32bit to see about opening the video and converting to vob within vegas and check the quality versus my other conversions that I have tried.

    Thanks for the response John.

    I will have to look more closely at the additional attributes.

    The reason I went Xvid to VOB was because the ultimate destination is DVD and all I wanted to do was trim the video. A little off the beginning and end. No major edits.

    I had tried many different conversions with a few different programs and the final output was always pixelated, the exception when I went directly to VOB using a certain program that can only output VOBs.
