    Hi —

Similarly, I am attempting to remap some stop motion animation that was shot on 35mm, transferred to HDCAM, digitized to uncompressed 8-bit HD.

The only After Effects render that seems to maintain the quality of the original HD file is the Animation Codec.

Does this sound right? Is that the best I can do? How does the Animation Codec compare with Uncompressed 8-bit HD? I’m just wondering if I should simply (well not really so) ‘remap’ it, via cuts, in FCP?

    Thanks if you can help,
    Jodie

yes. It’s strange. The DV Stream is 5 minutes longer than the sequence.

HOWEVER, I did just export it without changing the name of the sequence (when saving the file) and the DV stream was outputted correctly.

Before, I changed the filename on export. (saved the .dv file with a different name than the sequence)

    Odd, but working.
