I did try Cylinder so thank you. I wasn’t completely pleased with the results. I decided a slightly different approach with similar parameters. I used Element 3D and created a simple Cylinder and used the text as a custom texture. Duplicated, masked it out and feathered. Not getting the auto bold but as you suggested I could use a different set of text with different font to achieve it. Similar to the CC Cylinder but for some reason I’m happier with the results.
    Hopefully client likes it.

    Thanks guys!

The difficulty with bulge is it causes a wrap to occur at the edges and to eliminate it I have to increase the radius so large it causes the text to tear/distort too much 🙁

Dan, not sure if you’re gonna see this again but I have a follow up.

I need the object being animated with the expression to travel the entire vertical distance to follow a sine wave that is animating next to it.

What ends up happening is the ball moves up and down however doesn’t go down enough to match the sine wave. It settles into it’s origin point. Hope that makes sense. Basically it doesn’t travel the entire stretch of space the sine wave does so they don’t appear to match.

I need to allow the object to oscillate within a set vertical space to match the sine wave, not sure nest way to proceed orr if the expression can be edited to allow for this.

    Thanks again!

I just found that on the Adobe forums 🙂

The client wanted a very, very, very slow animated globe. That’s the dilemma. Thanks for the reply!

Thanks Walter. I got the plugin from Maxon and installed it in the plugins folder of AE and I’m trying to export but it doesn’t show up? What am I doing wrong here?

    CS5 version to C4D 11.5

Sorry still having issues! haha. If I download the version for R13 I see the export option but of course R11.5 can’t open it. The version for R11.5 is not working. Still missing something
