Activity Forums Adobe Photoshop Error with animated GIF

I rendered a short MP4 from AE and opened it with PhotoShop to make an animated GIF. When exporting in Photoshop only half the animation plays in the preview window (500 frames) but in the timeline the whole animation plays. I can also not get it to repeat forever. I’ve rendered in multiple formats from AE and the same thing happens. If I make several basic layers with a color fill (no video import) and create the GIF, it repeats and shows all frames but as soon as the video is brought it, it doesn’t work.

Any clues? It’s gotta be the video but I don’t know what’s wrong.

I believe Photoshop has a 500-frame limit on animated GIFs. You could try rendering at a lower frame rate to cut down the number of frames.

It is easier to destroy than to create.
    More fun, too.

I just found that on the Adobe forums 🙂

The client wanted a very, very, very slow animated globe. That’s the dilemma. Thanks for the reply!
