    HI,

I have the software coded to the board + all the breakout boxes. You can run the latest Media 100i software with no upgrade costs.

Unfortunately, in my zeal to clean the HD drive, I accidentally threw out a Media 100 Producer program to a movie I haven’t yet mastered. La, la, la… I would definitely have some kibble & beer except that I’ve been CLEAN & SOBER since 2/15/1980. Yes, that’s right, I just celebrated 27 years in AA.

    Hi David,

Well, I formatted the drive and now I’m reinstalling everything again. I hope this works.

Thank you for your kindness and expertise!

    Hi Kieran,

Producer never lets you know it has stopped digitizing. Yes it stops digitizing at the end of the tape, but the only way to know that is to look at the deck and see if timecode is going by, and if you wait too long, the program locks-up.

When Producer reaches a timecode break in the middle of your source tape, it stops digitizing, but there is no way to know that.

Disk Warrior has saved my ass a thousand times with Media 100i. UPDATING IS CHEAP + YOU GET A PERIOD OF FREE TECH SUPPORT! Once everything is “Disk Warriored” & reinstalled after updating, I’ll bet everything will be fine!

Yes, I’ve tried the HD codecs, but they don’t seem to be helping. By the way, just let me know if you want my (now dismantled) Media 100 iXR DV/SDI totally loaded + Magma expansion chasis system. Hopefully, it will help you out!

Actually, I have all the latest everything for my iXR. Actually, EVERYBODY has mentioned this mysterious “delay” with FCP, but I just don’t have it. The application responds immediately and the monitor is instantly updated and in sync.

    Thank you for responding, Arthur!

On my FCP setup the is simply no delay from my G5 & FCP to the deck and to the monitor. With Media 100 Producer, the is a noticeable delay starting from the keyboard of the computer. I press the spacebar to play and there is a 1/2 second annoying delay.

I export from producer using the Media 100 I codec and all the same settings as my Media 100 iXR program and it takes (according to the message I get) 7 hours to import a 20 minute program.

I just wish all of this would work correctly!

I’ve been editing with the Producer Suite for about a month now and I would give it 3 COWS. It feels like a not ready for prime time program. Although people have talked about an “unavoidable” delay from deck to NTSC monitor, my FCP station doesn’t do that. Media 100 Producer won’t allow me start my DSR-1500A at 00:59::00:00. I also have to reboot frequently because of lock-ups and strange behavior. And finally, I can’t export a movie and import it to Media 100 iXR for SDI playback into a Wired encoder on another machine.

    Thanks,

    Jim
