What about the case where two interviews were shot in an office in front of a window as the outside light changed?

The first person was shot while it was light out and it gets progressively darker outside. By the time the second person was shot it was pretty dark outside.

The scene outside is a cityscape, from a pretty high floor. Both subjects were lit very well.

I only need a few minutes for the final piece but I would like to be able to use the earlier footage if possible.

Is there an effective way to darken the background scene to match the later footage?
