Definitely After Effects or the like. Several elements of Particular combined with the VUE layer revealing another background layer of Particular might do the trick. Ask the experts on the AE forum.

I forgot to mention that the initial X and Y camera positions are slightly different in my example simply because I just quickly matched the X position to the tracer spline by eye from a Top view before adding the Xpresso tag, and I adjusted the Y position just to put the camera in what looked liked a good “average” view. You could keyframe the camera’s Y position appropriately if you want to follow the vertical movement more, or even create an Xpresso tag for it (but that might create a rather sickening camera bounce).

    See if this suits you:

    10203_10202tumbleweedfollow.c4d.zip

I removed the align to spline tag and added two Xpresso driver tags – one with the X position of the tumbleweed driving the relative X position of the camera, and the other driving the relative Z position. Though it’s not needed anymore, I left your tracer spline just for visual reference so you could see how these Xpresso tags are maintaining that initial relative position.

If you’re not familiar with this Xpresso, here’s a tutorial:

Here’s a quick tip that you may find useful. It will show you how to reveal (or hide) in the object menu, at which point you can simply select all of those objects you want to work with.

What you did should work. I would suggest contacting Maxon support, or you could try reinstalling Cinema 4D.

    Good luck.

Look for tutorials about applying a decal in C4D, but in a nutshell you will be duplicating your material and placing your text image in the alpha channel of the duplicated material (and generally turning off the other channels unless you want to modify the look of the text). Make a polygon selection of the area on your object that you want the text to appear, save it as a selection tag, and then drag that tag into the Selection window of your second material’s Texture Tag. Turn off tiling, and adjust the position and scale of the text image in the Offset U, V and Length U, V settings.

    Hope this helps.

For the best exposure, I would suggest starting a new post with a detailed explanation of what you need to do. And, if possible, post your project file along with the question.

If you just want to make a still image like that, Photoshop would be best.

    There is no attached picture.

How are you generating the wireframe? Providing a download of the project file may help.
