June 14, 2016 at 2:08 pmHere’s a quick tip that you may find useful. It will show you how to reveal (or hide) in the object menu, at which point you can simply select all of those objects you want to work with.

June 14, 2016 at 3:58 pmyes i know about that,thank you
but this is not enough – let’s say i have a complex building and i want to select only windows or maybe columns or other elements (this kind of objects i was referring to when i said – identical by geometry )in fact my goal is to turn those identical objects to instances

June 15, 2016 at 2:54 amI don’t know of any function that searches for identical geometry, but I think it most cases where there are identical objects they should have the same names, or at least names that contain identical strings. If that’s the case then you can use the search function in the Object Manager (magnifying glass) to solo them in the object manager.

October 9, 2024 at 7:52 amHey! I know this is an old thread, but I was looking for this too, until I decided to give it a try with claude. I kind of did it, and it works most of the time, but maybe there is a better way. Also I included a script to get rid of empty nulls and nulls with just one child.
