I shot it with a Sony Z5 cam in full HD, so my understanding is that it is HDV 1080-60i (1440×1080, 29.970 fps). That is correct, right? The template that I used to render it with was Blu-ray 1440×1080-60i, 25 Mbps, MPEG-2 video stream. Thanks, Jim

Very helpful info. Many thanks. That was easy!! Now if I can just solve the “green monster” problem I mentioned in the other post. The last half of the rendered project looks almost totally green. Has that ever happened to you? Do you have any suggestions? Thanks again, Jim

Is there a way to take the DVD version in DVDA and change it to a Blu-ray version without starting from scratch? Jim

Sorry for the confusion, John. What I meant to say was “Any idea what caused the original audio problem?” I’m puzzled because I was not using a wireless mic, and I don’t recall the audio from the DJ’s mic sounding bad. I would have thought that the audio should had recorded just fine. Thanks, Jim

    John,

I am fairly satisfied with how Sound Forge Audio Studio LE handled the problem. It’s not perfect, but it is much improved. Probably not as good as the more $$ programs, but I saved the $$. Just FYI, I had to take the problem audio, make a WAV file, import that into Sound Forge, make the corrections, then save it as a WAV file and import it into Vegas. When I tried to right click and open Sound Forge within Vegas, the “audio restoration” tool was grayed out in the menu.

Any ideas what could have caused this problem? I was not using wireless mics, and I don’t recall the audio sounding that bad when I was recording the toast. Thanks, Jim

John, thanks for your reply. I also have a limited edition of Sound Forge Audio Studio 9. I wonder if the noise reduction filter in that would be of much help. Jim

I got it working!! This is what worked: Last night I tried deleting all the .sfap0 files associated with the project. At first I got an error message saying the files could not be deleted because they were being used by another application. (I knew they were not.) I turned off the external HD that holds the project, and let it sit overnight. This morning I was able to delete all the .sfap0 files. There were several of them, and I think that was what was corrupting things. After I did that the veg file opened up fine. Not sure exactly what allowed it to work again, but it is working 🙂 Thanks for your help. Jim
