I originally rendered the movie using the drop down menu and not using “make a movie” tab. It took 17 hours to render, the next day i came back to computer and clicked finished, took out dvd and nothing was burned on it.
So I had to render it again using the “make a movie” tab.
Then found out movie was 5.7 gb.
Since movie was larger than size of dvd, i saved the movie and went out and bought larger size dvd.
Had to render movie again, as it appeared it wasnt saved, although i know i did. REgardless, after rendering movie, another 2.35 hrs to be precise, learned that I needed to add chapters at the 55 minute mark to 1,26 hr mark [end of movie]. dvd architect Said I needed to go back and do this at the “make movie stage”.
I edited the movie, figured how to add markers, added several just in case.
Now I am rendering it all over again, waiting another 2.35 hours.
I am using HP desktop, windows visa, quad core computer, it can easily handle this job, but this prgm takes a long time to make movies. My daughter uses it burn shorter length video and she finds it very slow as well.
I have a lot of home movies and doubt i can use this program. Too slow and cumbersome. It should state during rendering that there are potential problems. Takes too too long to make a movie.
Now I’m considering just playing movie on TV and using the old dvd burner while watching movie.
