    Steven:

Thank you so much. Your method works brilliantly. Now the sound folks are much happier, and you know how important that is!

I had to take my clips one step further, and that was to remove the first track of audio from the clips in the sequence, because Track 1 was the original audio from the P2 file which we were using for reference. It was still causing the .mov file to show up in the source column. But once I deleted that everything works like a charm.

    Thanks again. The COW rocks!

    Best, JIM.

Is it possible to export an AAF from Final Cut? If so, can you point me to information how to do so?

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks Kevin. Never thought of using Compressor. That sounds like a great idea. I’ll give it a whirl.

    Hi Kevin:

Thanks for the speedy response. Do you know if this action will work ‘inside’ FCP, and can I just highlite my sequence (with or without marks) and get it to do the conversion with my preferred settings? From what it says on the site, seems you have to at least first input your favourite settings, if not export a QT from the sequence first, then run the script…

    Any of this make sense?

    Thanks again for any insight.

    Hi guys:

So am I to understand that this feature works for some people but not for all? If so, any hints as to making it work for me? : > )

    Hi Gary:

Yes, I’ve got the Use QT Timecode box checked, and the input set to RP188 LTC (if that matters). I should also mention that I’m using a Kona 2 with the latest greatest driver set, and I’m using Quicktime 7.3 with Tiger 10.4.11 and FCP 6.0.2.

Still doesn’t work properly when playing.

    Any other ideas?

Okay, I spoke too soon. Now when I play, it just flips to an arbitrary code…not sure what’s going on…

Doesn’t seem to matter what settings I use on the Control Panel…

Definitely cool feature. But mine seems to add 2 HOURS to the hour mark — but only when playing. During pause, the code is accurate. Anyone else get this? Or is there a setting somewhere I’m missing?

BTW, this is on a 720p 23.98 timeline with DVC PRO HD material.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Jeremy:

Yeah, my bad. I still think there should be some documentation or better yet, a way to not affect your settings in software…

That said, I guess I’ll remember it next time ’round.

    I must be losing it…

Seems my favourite FX are all blown away too…

Argh. That should just not happen.
