I had the same problem, just getting my feet wet now with LHD, shot with JVC HD100 in HDV 720p/24 mode, I read the last line of the Read Me file that comes with LHD that there is a bug and that you should limit your capture files to 28 minutes. Also, I’m having two other issues. 1. Do you create a new XML file for each batch of “Realtimes” that you prepare for the Timeline Encode? and then import that new XML into FCP when your ready to use those clips? 2. For some reason the dimensions of my 1280×720 frame are off slightly. Checking the item properties and it confirms that the files are all 1280×720, but visually on my NTSC monitor (down converted through the JVC HD Pro VTR) the right vertical edge of black is about a half inch from the right hand side, it’s very noticable when in underscan, but also appears in overscan. I don’t see this vertical black bar on the right edge of frame when play back camera master footage through the deck, it only occurs after I’ve done the entire Lumiere HD process. Any thoughts?

I’m thinking of buying the Panasonic Anamorphic Lens Adaptor for my 100A. I’ve read that focusing can be a bit tricky when shooting with an Anamorphic lens becsue it can only focus on either the vertical or horizontal plane, but not both at the same time. I’ve also read that even with the new Chrosziel Matte Box and Anamorphic Adaptor Plate for the Panasonic Anamorpohic Lens Adaptor there is still a problem with vignetting when zoomed out wider than .6mm. is that true and has anyone any sucess or horror stories regarding the focusing issuse with the Panasonic Anamorphic lens adaptor.

  • I don’t have a solution to your problem but I was wondering if you had any focus issues with the Anamorhpic lens, which anamorphic lens you used and if you used a Matte Box, and if so which one and did you have any vignetting issues with it.
