  • That is helpful! Will check it out!

  • Wondering if you ever solved this…I’ve been playing around with Descript as well, and I know they now offer a direct export to XML for FCPX but I haven’t figured out a good round-trip option for scenarios where you have multiple cameras and/or separate synced audio. It’s a great tool, but seems like it needs a way to import XMLs to edit from as well…

  • UPDATE: Just in case anyone also has this issue, I found some improvement in the Audio Hardware Preferences by changing the Default Input to “None” — by default it is set to whatever your computer has which for me on an iMac was “Built-In Microphone.” Hopefully this helps somebody else!

  • I appreciate it! To answer your question, the majority of footage (I’d say 80%) is being shot at 4K , while the rest might be a hodgepodge of 720p, 1080p and still photos. What’s trickier is some of the lower res material I would probably want to reframe which means zooming in and recropping (beyond the upscale to 4K).
In these situations is it preferable to work at the deliverable resolution instead?
