    Nice work!

I did a closed DVD Amray case using Zaxwerks if anyone needs it.

I would be interested in the answer to this question as well. I would like to edit and composite in a 1080 24P (23.88 fps) timeline. I would like to use an efficient codec (like DVCproHD). AND I would like to monitor this on a HD CRT with pulldown added. Can Kona 2 do this? Can Kona LH?

I just encoded my first Flash 8 video file yesterday. I chose to use the new and improved codec that requires Flash 8. I also followed the tech suggestions and kept it to an even multiple of 30 (it’s 15), The file loads quickly (with dsl) and looks really nice. No more “Choose Your Player Version” Screens for me!

I don’t. But I sure wish SOMEONE did.

All I can add is a “me too” to the conversation.

    jat,

I used to be in the same boat. 90% of my work ended up on DV or DVD. But lately I’ve been doing more uncompressed work. I’m going out via a Aja io/LA. The difference is VERY noticeable. Even if your work IS going to DV, you will see better final output if you use gradients, feathers blurs or color tweaks.

You need to have the 3D checkbox selected for the 2D sphere artwork too. Then the rotated artwork will move behind it.

    You can do that.

As outlined above, track the four point and then turn on expressions for that layer. Use the pick whip next to the tracked footage expression and drag it to the corresponding corner pinned property for the other layer. Viola!

My experience is limited to what I have heard and what I have read. But, yeah, the DVD-video playback device puts applies the 3:2 pulldown when it sends out the video signal. People have claimed they get better quality encodes. Anyone with firsthand experience?
