HDV/FCP 5/Flash Video/Yuck!
I am somewhat new to the Flash video encoding process. I am using Studio 8 and am attempting to encode a .flv file from a HDV source that was shot on bluescreen, imported into Final Cut Pro 5, keyed using the green/blue screen key (which worked ok), exported several different ways and then brought into Flash’s new Video Encodeer to make the final .flv to post to the website.
My issue: The MP3 audio encoder sucks. The video does not look that great either. I am setting it to Sorenson Spark because of the few having version 8 of the Flash player. Is there a better process for getting this thing to look really clean with CLEAN audio?
Once I’ve keyed it, what is the best way to export the quicktime for flash encoding while keeping as much resolution as possible.
I’ve exported the FCP video with uncompressed 8-bit NTSC as well as the Animation codec, with no field domninance.
I shot it using the Sony Z1.
Length: 2 minutes
Detail: Talking Head (waist up) keyed of of a bluescreen.
Format: Sony HDV/1080i 60fps
Final Size Needed: 170×250
Other Software I’m trying: Sorenson Squeeze 4.1Any help or advise would be GREATLY appreciated!
Cheers,
Colin Williams
