Right after applying the preset, hit the “u” key to reveal the keyframes. select them all. Then scale the keys. You hold down a modifier key (can’t remember offhand — option or control?) and select the last key and drag it to the new last position.

Ah-ha, you would think so. Actually CC sphere and CC cylinder react to the 3D camera just like 3D objects. The secret is to NOT turn on 3D for that layer. You can wrap your background in a cylinder and have it react to your camera moves.

What about mapping it onto a sphere or a cylinder. Try CC Cylinder.

I agree with the above post. I ALWAYS render to the frame size, frame rate and codec of the exported media. I also DON’T render the audio. I bring it back into FCP, duplicate the sequence that I exported and put my rendered file on a new layer on top of the original. It lines up perfectly and then I don’t have to do a second render (and waste all that disk space).

It does, and thank you Jeremy. Not the news I had hoped for, but thank you none the less.

Yeah, I thought about that. But disk space is an issue and I haven’t seen THAT huge of a difference between the uncompressed imaged and the DVCPro HD final renders.

I know DV100 is considered an acquisition and editing format, but aren’t many people using it for their final master? Also, do any techie engineer-types know if I am getting anything more out of the DV 100 codec by rendering to 24P instead of 60i? It seems there should be less compression per frame, since there are less frames. Thoughts anyone?

No the output is set to 1080i 29.97 and I am going out to the monitor through the analog out. When I put up an SD resolution image, you can see the resolution difference.

I have a Kona 2 and a K-box. I don’t really need the dual link and audio features as much as I need the analog HD from the LHe. E-mail an offer to sales at motioncity dot com if you want.
