After Effects 7 comes with a lot of cool animated presets, but they are usually only animated for a couple seconds. Is there a quick and easy way to make them longer? Right now, I have to go onto each keyframe property and look how its changing, then I do some math to figure what values it should be over the new length. Needless to say, this takes a while!

Right after applying the preset, hit the “u” key to reveal the keyframes. select them all. Then scale the keys. You hold down a modifier key (can’t remember offhand — option or control?) and select the last key and drag it to the new last position.
