Thank you for your response Al,

I’m sorry for my incomplete tech specs. I’m running W7 64bit and I’m not looking for ultra fast renders but I would assume that this Pc should be alot faster than a 3gig ram laptop also running W7 64..

I tried rendering to the default sony 720p format, the default internet 720p format and tried rendering to the exact same settings as the source media > none of these settings made any difference.

There is about 150Gb free on the disk I am rendering to, it’s my OS drive. Why should I not render to this drive? I have another one installed so I could use that, will give it a try.

I tried alot of things today, even did a clean install of windows on a seperate hard drive but even that didn’t help the rendering speed compared to my (crappy) laptop. I’m starting to think it’s a hardware issue and will run some diagnostic tests tonight.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Jeff,

Thank you for your response, I found the same suggestion on the Vegas forums, tried 16-32-50 (Vegas default was set at 200) but none of these helped the rendering speed/jam issue.
