Hope that helps.

I have issues with some fonts when I scroll through them to where they cause Vegas to pull an error. It is the same fonts every time. I have just learned to avoid them. Can you check this against your situation?

August 31, 2009 at 6:26 pm in reply to: elapsed time – split times display possible? how to?I guess I don’t understand the benefit of this or why what is there already won’t work. However, with that said, you can go here and post a request for a script that should be able to do what you want.

I would talk to your client and see if where they are sending it has the capability to read NTSC (if that is what you are). If not, find out what they need to make it work and go from there. Most people can read other regions now days without issue. I inserted a DVD coded for another region into my DVD player in my pc and it asked me if I wanted to change my region to play it. I did and then afterwards I changed it back by inserting a NTSC region 1 dvd into the player.
Find out from your client what capability they have on their end.

You can also use what Sony has built in along with Chroma blur and Secondary Color Correction to come up with a pretty nice key as long as it is lit decently.
In addition, as mentioned above, New Blue FX also has a good keyer for a decent price. Cinegob has a keyer that is free and works well with the lagarith codec for importing to Vegas, but it is a stand alone program. There are others out there as well but the better the keyer, the more you are going to pay. It may just be better/cheaper in the long run to set up your green screen and lighting well on the front end 🙂

Hi Max,
I do not use Encore so I don’t know how its encoding engine is tweaked to handle compression for DVDs. However, I do know that Vegas has a pretty good encoder that is tweakable and I would let it make the compliant files and then just open those in your DVD authoring program of choice.

What does FRAPS save the file as? Is it an avi wrapped file? Can you post a portion of one online somewhere where I can download it and give it a go for you?

Here is a discussion concerning both products I mentioned above. A guy asks which is better.

You need something like ADS Pyro or Canopus to go out from the VCR and in to your PC via firewire. I have the ADS Pyro and it works great for me.
