The image I’m loading into final cut is 2000 by 1333 in photoshop pro, pretty good quality image.

It looks good in 1080i60. in full screen the picture is fitted to the window and says 66 percent.

But in the 4:3 DV NTSC, it looks really pixelated and the fitted to window says 187 percent.

Is there a way to fix this or can I not get the same quality in 4:3 mode.

By the way, I’m creating a slideshow with sound, no actual video. I tried exporting when the viewer was 16:9, but I always got black sidebars. Maybe I can export 16:9 with sidebars, and then crop out the sidebars with an encoder? I don’t know.

Under Sequence settings, I hit ‘Load Sequence Preset’

I see things that say DV NTSC 32 kHz and 48 khz which does change it to 4:3. Does this khz only have to do with the audio? Because the video quality seems to be seriously suffering when I make a 4:3 vid.
