If your after effects comp is all vector files (or super high rez = 5000X5000) you can make the comp super big = 5000X5000 pixels. Then save file as a PSD = open it in Photoshop, make a selection (if two tone) then make paths from that selection. Copy and Paste into Illustrator. It should be very close to the 72 DPI AE comp.
