    Laszlo,
Please post your Registry key modification and I will give it a try.

Spot, I went through the Vegas Prefences and could not find a box to uncheck that would deselect ASIO drivers. Actually, there is no option to choose ASIO either as I don’t have a Creative Labs card in this computer. Vegas 7e did not trigger this error, it started after I upgraded to 8.

    thanks,
    Jeff

    Edward,
Are you saying that Vegas can render using Quicktime if you do a custom install of Quicktime Professional? I was under the impression that Vegas renders using a restricted subset of Quicktime options derived from the limited QT cabinet that is installed as part of the Vegas setup routine. Is there a way to render from the Vegas timeline using the full set of Quicktime Pro export options, as you can with apps like Premiere?

I just did a box with an ASUS A8NSLI-Deluxe. I’m using a PCI-Express Quadro for the video card, nice system, fast and stable. You have to read their list of supported RAM carefully, when using 4 sticks of RAM – the supported RAM speed changes depending on whether your RAM sticks have single or doubled-sided memory chips.
