That appears to have fixed it. Had to enable hidden folders Mac OS to find User>Library>Preferences. Thanks!

What’s funny is that is what I did to get this size. Previously, the window was larger, but still could not resize. So i tried holding down CTRL and launching the window. That when it got stuck even smaller. I just tried it again and still can not resize. And is it CTRL or CMD on the Mac? I tried it both ways and no luck.

This does not seem like a good solution to me. I have lost two days of work. AE crashed while rendering and gave me one opportunity to save. That file has corrupt Zax files, the original is corrupt and the auto saves don’t work? All because you cant put two Zax effects in the same comp?

    Anybody know and hard games?

I get it occasionally, too. In fact, I have four instances running right now. It is annoying, and I am tired of AE crashing.

    Anybody know and hard games?

Looks like it kinda worked. I was able to play from the timeline to 1394, but it still would not let me digital cut. I applied a 16:9 mask to return the video to the correct aspect ratio. For most of the timeline it is fine, but at points the letterboxing gets blurry and jumps up and down. Almost like some kind of interlaced issue. I only rendered the mask, not the effects below. would that cause the jumping?

I wish I had a deck with HDSDI. After I posted it dawned on me maybe not everything transcoded. Like I missed a setting and did not transcoded the audio in the sequence or i need to relay the clips. I will have to look at it again. I need to go to DVC-Pro 25 for final distribution, but the one deck we have is only firewire. I could go to Beta with component.

I just got Dell precision 690 dual quad xeon 3.2ghz with a ATI firegl v3400. It was intended for streaming video, but my boss rescued it and sent it to me. the gfx card was not what i want, but it was better than what i had. the open gl previews are all right, but no anti-aliasing. Sucker renders quick. it is fun to look at the task manager and watch the eight logical processors going. only one crash so far. it was an issue with keylight and color finesse. i did not investigate, but it set me back a few minutes while I started over. I suppose it does not answer your question, but i am just happy to have something other than my old precision 650 that i cobbled into a “useable” workstation.

We do have the DNxcel board. I see. Transcode from DVC-Pro HD to DNxHD. Our final delivery method will be a firewire digital cut to the DVC-Pro 25 SD93 deck. I can output a 24p project to that?

Thanks for all your comments. Now I have to fit them in the budget.
