Yes, but they show installation on the full version not the AE lite version.

I found it. Once you trim the video layer in the time time with the “Option + {” key shortcut you can now grab the non selected portion of the layer and drag it one way or the other. Key frames stay put. This allows you to “slide” your footage just like a NLE program.

Yes, but all my key frames move. There is no easy way to adjust the video in point and keep the key frames at the same location on the timeline? Or do I have to adjust all the key frames if I change the video in with shortcut “[” ?

That was it. I needed to have “Mismatched resolution” set to “center crop with no resize”

Yes you are correct. The sizing info does stay from FCP7 when you export an XML from Resolve even when you import the FCP XML with the “Use Sizing Information” box not checked.
That seems to have solved my problem.

I have some sizing going on in FCP that I’m not bring over in Resolve. So if I output an XML from Resolve I will not get the sizing info from the original edit. I need to keep the sizing out of Resolve so the Smoke editor can still make adjustments to sizing do to some other issues.

Do you know where the resizing information lives in Resolve from the FCP XML? It doesn’t seem to be in the Sizing menu in the Color tab. I can disable the sizing data from the XML by right clicking on the clip and turning it off. Thanks

Yes, We need to resize the 5K footage in a 1080 timeline. Client wants to do a zoom in post rather than in camera.

I’m using FCP to create the final XML that will go out to a Smoke editor.
I add music, SFX, simple text and other things that I can’t do in Resolve. So Smoke is doing the resize not FCP. I’m guessing Resolve can’t out the XML I’m wanting. I’ll do a work around. Thanks.
