You’ll notice 2 things on the Adobe web site:
1. Selecting the Encore text listing takes you to a sub-section of the Premiere Pro product section.
2. On Location, also a part of the Premiere Pro CS3 package, is likewise listed separately in the text listing. Its product information is also listed in a sub-section of the main Premiere Pro product section.
Walter, you’ve made your point that Encore’s Blu-ray functions don’t work to your satisfaction. You’ve made that point often and loudly. From here on out, I respectfully request that you continue your anti-Encore rhetoric in your blog and not here.
Further anti-Encore invectives from you here in this forum may genuinely be considered as spam and/or trolling, neither of which I believe are in compliance with the Cow’s forum guidelines. The choice is yours.

Is there anything different about the 3rd menu? Anything at all? Be sure to check the Layers panel very carefully, as well as the button routing.

Encore CS3 is part of the Premiere Pro CS3 package. It is not sold as a separate product. You’ll find Premiere Pro featured prominently on the Products page.

This sounds like bad media, a too-high bit rate or a too-high burn speed.
Try a different brand of blank media (Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim are best) and limit your burn speed to only half of the rated speed of your burner or media, whichever is lowest.
What is the bit rate of your transcoded mpeg video files?

When you say it “won’t play”, do you mean that nothing happens when you press Enter on the player’s remote while the button for episode 4 is highlighted?
If so, then what happens after that?
Also, since it works in the software DVD player, I need to know how you are selecting the episode on computer. Do you click on the button with your mouse? If so, please try using the software DVD player’s buttons to navigate to the episode 4 button and then activate the button. What happens then?

If you built the image successfully, but then could not burn the image using Encore, then it’s likely there is some hardware or software conflict that is preventing a successful burn.
Try the free program ImgBurn. It is a handy, lightweight utility that does one thing – burn disc images. In almost all cases, ImgBurn will succeed when other programs fail.
