I just got a Canon HF20 AVCHD camera, and is new to the video editing business.
I have the ecaxtly same problem as you. Sony Vegas 9a fixed the problem vith “Low Memory” but my rendered videos maked with Sony avc(mp4.m2ts.avc) – AVCHD 1920×1080-50i have the same problems. Sound runs fine but picture slows down after about 5 minutes. The rendered film plays fine on my PC. I vill try to lower my bitrate to see if it helps me, but why can a top tuned grachics optimized machine as the PS3 have problem when my Laptop can play the file without any problems at all? Can someone help please 😉
