What bugs are you experiencing with FCPX?

Thanks for your reply Brad. Unfortunately gamma is not the issue. When I skim in the browser the image looks darker. Once I stop, the image looks normal.

Ok seems FCPX is very capable of cutting features. So what type of projects is FCPX not good for?

Yeah definitely looking into motionVFX. Wanted to also make sure Pixel Film Studios made properly working plugins and if there was an issue, if they were quick to respond and resolve it. Thank you for your feedback.

I’m in the same situation as you. MBP 15″ since I need portability. Sweet spot is the i7 2.6. Adding Vega 20 since its only a $300 upgrade and that much better vs 560X. Definitely 32GB RAM since you will not be able to upgrade this later. AE is a RAM hog. Everything else standard.

6 years later…sorry to bring up an old thread. Has anyone purchased from Pixel Film Studios? Are their plugins legit? Any issues? How is their support? Thanks.

Thank you for this Oliver. The move from FCP 7 to Davinci Resolve was a smooth transition. What I loved about FCP legacy was the vast amount 3rd party plugin support. Is there reason why there is a limited amount of 3rd party plugin support for Davinci Resolve OFX vs FCPX FXPlug? There seems to be a huge amount of FCPX effects availability out there.

Interested why Resolve and FCPX is a great combo? Starting to use Resolve but looking into FCPX as well. Curious on your thoughts. Thank you.
