I don’t think it’s the objects moving–it’s just a perceptual illusion caused by the difference in Z-depth between the objects. The only place where I saw the possibility of animation of objects instead of camera was a couple of places with the text. Otherwise, I think it’s just a careful layering of objects in the 3D space with a camera controlled by a null.

Your RAM preview in point and out point are the same. Go to the first frame of your comp and press “B”. Then go to the last point in your comp and press “N”. Try it again & you shouldn’t have the error anymore.

I usually use a 3D app like Cinema 4D to do this–you create a 360 degree panorama, place your camera in the middle and export out as a QuickTime VR.

Not quite sure what you mean–could you elaborate?

Did you make the video you posted? It’s well done.

If you can find a way to do it that doesn’t utilize the “Ken Burns” look or the 3D Picture Trick, go for it–they’re both becoming incredibly overused (but still fairly popular).

I particularly like the Chris Marker “La Jetee” style of minimal motion, letting the image (or a piece of the image) speak for itself.

That Jayse tutorial is fantastic. It’s really not a very difficult effect once you start understanding the basic principals behind it. The “Pan Behind” tool is a life saver for SO many reasons…

Thanks Noah–I just ordered on last night, so I’ll give a report once I’ve tested it out a bit.
