Yer tried turbo squid No luck, I’ve come up with a sort of like work around, I’ve made a Grid in photoshop the imported the car put a displacment effect on the grid and selected the imported car shot adjusted the controls in the displacment effect, added mesh to pull the grid lines, then you have to shade the edge pack in photosshop, you have to do this in section to get any good effect, I bit long winded, any body else have any idea’s

Does the cannon shoot anomophic 1440×1080 or 1920×1080 if the first, Do I still need to put this into a 1920×1090 timeline
and why do people decode to DVCpro100 is this because it is easier to work with and take it out of the mpeg format -
Yeah did that too, slowed the footage down, but director said it took all the energy out of the shot, ‘Can’t have your cake and eat it’

Yea this is what I had to do is go In and cut the black frames out ‘which when you play back you get jump frames of the person dancing, this also bring another problem, the ITC recomends only 3 cut per second, when you cut out the black frames you can get anything between 7-15 cuts per second, I think the director needs a re shoot,

Thanks for the info, seems strange, that FCP hasn’t addresed this problem, I thought of someting last night, maybe the deck was in preset Timecode instead of regen, I’ll try that next time, has anyone tried this?

Tried that, still boots up blank screen, really weird, If I leve it on for about 5 to 10mins then reboot the screen come’s on

I reseated the graphics card, didn’t have any surg protection, haven’t tried another monitor as not got another ADC compatible monitor

sorry I’ve not got a cinema display It’s a apple studio display
