    SOLVED –
    I navigated to
    C:\Users\username\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro\5.0
    Deleted everything in the folder.

Restarted Premiere and the error didn’t return. I obviously lost some settings by deleting these files but not a big deal.

I was able to isolate the problem. When I create a new project and save the project on my desktop, I get no errors. When I create a new project and save the project to an external HDD I get the error every time. I cleared the media cache through premiere but that didn’t solve the problem. I’m wondering if there’s a file somewhere with cached data that’s causing the problem.

every project. I started a couple of new projects to see if the project was corrupted but I’m still getting the message.
