I beg to differ – it is a bug.
Try moving an array of multiple objects in different quantities multiple times. Using the rotation tool and typing in a value into an orientation or rotation field has the same effect and world axis is not honored by AE.
Maybe I’m wrong though!
I’m doing a Rubik’s cube animation which should have been simple once the scene was set up. The first few moves go alright but when I get to the third move the scene (cube) starts to fall apart by rotating in different directions.
My single cubes are set up as pre-comps, my main cube and all the anchor points of the single cubes are set to the center of the scene and offset to their respective coordinates.
Something that should have been easy in world axis mode – choosing nine cubes and rotating them, and then choosing another nine cubes and rotating them and so on – cannot be done.
