That’s what i thought. Been running fcp with 4gb of ram on my mac book pro now for the last 2 years and it works fine. Just wanted some advice with being new to the mac pro

Looks good, just checked out their website. I Ftp a lot of work for approval. Which is time consuming. considering it now as my codec for lo res stuff, if its as quick as it says it is

Thanks Zak. Don’t do a lot of delivery on H264. Can you use it for any other codecs. Or is it just dedicated to H264.

Thanks Ben, am i right in think the more RAM the better for FCP, i think there is enough room to go up to 16, is it worth the money or should i stick with 12 as you recommended. I presume thats a Nvidia gfx card you are also recommending.

i’am using gtech3 1tb x 4 formatted as raid set connected with fw800 to my mac for the pro res hq and xdcam hd. For the uncompressed i have a
gtech speedpro connected via esata for the uncompressed stuff

built dvd gone to format its not there. looked in the inspector window under general setting its not there either. which contradicts the user guide. am i missing something.

No. 7:20 x 576 thats been stretched 33% there abouts. So when you play it back 16:9 it fills the frame at the correct aspect. Its not true 16:9. Its a fudge that we here in the UK have been using in SD TX for years
