Ok I think I got it.

Strange but it works. I made a sequence with the apple pro res seetings, then when I added a new clip with animation settings it was fine. So the preset doesn’t really matter I guess? Then why ask me what setting I what?

when I start a new project it asks “select sequence preset” do i just pick anyone?

Then when I drag the animation clip in the sequence it will change the settings to match?

I forgot about that. I am trying to edit off a usb2 drive. I’m looking to get another hard drive soon so I’ll try out a firewire800 one.

I do have two internal hard drives but I’m using the other as a time machine back up. Maybe I’ll just use that other internal and use a usb for my time machine.

It’s better to have an external back up anyway yeah?
