Cool! That would definitely help clear up confusion for anyone trying it for the first time, and eliminate the need to make an unnecessary adjustment to set a keyframe of sorts.
Thanks again! Our long, single-take from outside a house, through the front door, and into a living room TV screen works! We weren’t sure it could be pulled off.

Martin’s solution worked! I was a little unsure of how to implement it bc I’m brand new to Mocha, but it ended up being just as he described. The z-space tracking data from Mocha is interpreted by AE’s Corner Pin through the scale parameter, so you have to drop a reference point of sorts (the way Martin described above) before copying/saving in Mocha to tell AE when the target image should be at 100%.
I googled it about 25 times and couldn’t find anything. I can’t imagine I’m the only person to encounter this issue, but maybe it’s not too common.

Thanks for all the help guys!

OK, so if I track the tv, and it’s a good track, I can still tweak the very last frame in Mocha before exporting the tracking data, and that last frame will be what determines 100% scale in AE? I need that last frame to be 100% (or close).

    Thanks!

As stated above, I will not be using the storage for editing. External drives will be used for that (most days I have to take my work home with me anyway). The coordinator will need full administrative access: add and remove files, organize, renaming, etc. I have just switched to Premier from FPC7. In addition to raw footage (prores, xdcam, mp4, wmv) the storage will contain managed Pr and Ae project files, as well as old FCP managed project files. I would like to be able to download data outside of the office (ie: i’m on the road in Denver at a client conference and the client wants to reprise a video that was use at last year’s conference). I can’t imagine a situation where I would need to upload anything from outside.
Again, I’ll never edit from this storage. Just trying to put at least 50TB of existing data in a one place, with room to grow.

    Thanks

Ummm…the first bullet point states that we have “no central video storage”. There’s no mention of having a Drobo that doesn’t work for me. So I actually do need to spend something because we have nothing.
    Sheesh, forget it man…no thanks.

Thanks for the reply. No IT person at our office, so I appreciate the walkthrough.
