Thanks for all of your info. Last night I had them try and go back to a previous driver. System worked for a while then started up again. I’m having them go back to the current driver and will have them create new sequences and look into the other suggestions as well. Hopefully one of these will work.

    Thanks,

    Thanks,

I actually got this thing working. The older version of MC v2.7 does not allow for the relink to work. As soon as I updated the software to v 3.5.1 it worked. Now I’ll be able to cross convert to 1080p if I have to from the Avid I think.

    Thanks for the help

    Thanks,

I’m about to get this stuff working in 1080p. One other question the deck which is the 1200A doesn’t convert to 1080p. Will there be a pulldown issue introduced by going 1080i from the HD 1200A (it won’t do 1080p out) to 1080p into Avid.

And yes there is some file based stuff such as the original P2 material some of which was never dubbed to tape.

    Thanks,

How horrible would it be to get this into a 1080p 23.976 project. Terrance you would love this one. It’s got P2/Red/Varicam/ P2 and Red transferred to tape. I’m not sure what else to do. I can’t get this @*^& to work.

What are you’re thoughts and what do you think would happen if I try and convert this thing to 1080p and load that way? Will just reformatting the sequence work? What about loading the tape. I guess I’d have to rest the HD-1200A to 1080p 23.976 but will this save may ass in this case? Oh except for the 3 day’s of Metafuse rendering my client has already done. Oh and by the way I’m stepping into this I didn’t suggest ever cutting in 720p. They just kinda went and did it based on recommendations from post facilities.

    Thanks 🙁

    Hi Terence,

I just went back into the original SD project changed the format then Deecomped the footage in the the HD project. When I go to try and conform I get the 720p/23.976 project format error. I’m going to try the ALE again to see if it works this time. Any other suggestions?

Why? Because I actually decided to read the help menu. That’s exactly what they tell you to do. I am going to give the Seq format a try.

You know I’m not sure but it could be possible. If that were the case how would you deal with that in the Avid Scenario? The way the project was set up. They took each BPAV file and enclosed it in it’s own file so that it has a “tape name” In avid you just select the file you want to reference and the media shows up. I have no clue how to deal with a BPAV file that was spanned to another BPAV file if that’s the case.

    Hi Matt,

I think the issue is with Final Cut Pro. There is some sort of Memory leak causing the problem this came from an Apple Tech I believe. It’s not a problem with the Kona Card.
