I’m sorry to see you have not gotten a response to this. I was really hoping to see good information here.

We’ve been struggling with the same issue. We have an AJ-HD 1400P that actually needs to be told what signal it is to receive. We were outputting 720p 24 from our timeline and the deck needed to be told we were sending 720P 24.

I’ll let you know if we are successful with the 1080i print to video.

Don’t forget to reset your deck…

Turns out…I’m an idiot…I hate to admit it, but I’ve found the problem. In my defense, several people use the machine I work from. Turns out, it doesn’t matter what you set your stuff to compress if your Project settings, Audio/Video settings and everything else are hosed up. It’s a shame that you can actually have a 960 sequence open while your project settings are set to another project. I wish I had my own machine…
Thanks for the response…check out my stuff on 1800goguard.com in a few days…look for the Potomac fishing video.

I’m not claiming to know everything, but I’d check two things:
    1) Doublecheck that your hard drive is not highly fragmented and/or very full. It’s best to edit with at least a 7200 RPM drive that’s no more than 70% full especially if you’re dealing with HD
    2) try an .aiff file for your audio. Macs seem to like .aiff for some reason. Also, what sample rate are you setting your audio? You really don’t need more than 48k 256.
