Open in qt7 and look at properties. (cmd+j) i think…
It will show all of your tracks and if you have any reference files.

I live on the other side of this. I’m a producer inside of a corporation and I have vendors creating content for us routinely. The expectation that we have agreed in advance is that we get project files so we can replace text – change brand colors – update timing if needed.
One thing that one of our vendors has done is to “bake” any “proprietary” design or structure things with pre-renders that they would rather not give us blueprints as to how to recreate. (although this creates extra work that I don’t think they end up billing for)
I think this style of delivery is fine…it protects some of the things that you bring as a value add, but also allows basic editing of a project if needed.

I was saying that it’s disappointing that they don’t focus on the pro market as a separate market.
I love how easy the tools are to use and I can do things that I really have no business doing (color correction and compression) because of the templates.
I just think it’s a miss to throw everyone together (pro-amateur and everything in between).
There will be a distinction of quality, but there is extra noise and it’s unnecessary.
I can’t tell you how many times I get jobs that have been started and dropped by someone who thought they could do it. Unnecessary money/time/resources being spent because people have tools they shouldn’t have access to.
I guess it’s no different than me being able to buy professional level hardware tools at my local hardware store and then build an addition on my home. It just waters down the value that we bring as professionals.
It’s nothing deeper than disappointing. 🙂

Hey Dave,
Just to be clear, I did install the 6G SSD from OWC as a replacement of my primary HD.
I took out the DVD drive and put in a data doubler from OWC and just moved the old internal drive to that position. Its a 750GB 5400rpm drive.
Running AJA system test, I get 84.8MB/s write and 90.4MB/s read from this drive. I edit ProRes and usually work off proxy, but have had no problem with ProRes LT in FCPX from that drive. (I haven’t worked on a BIG project yet, just small one off kind of stuff).

Optical drive slot “too”?
That is the only internal drive that can be ejected…obviously u can’t eject ur boot drive.
I should note…it’s a 17″ mbp and running lion osx

Yes. I replaced internal with ssd and took out optical to put in original 750gb internal. I can eject it.
